Nicolas Sarkozy Loses His Cool on French TV

A film of a tense and tough Nicolas Sarkozy, recorded without his knowledge before an interview on France’s EU presidency, has become an overnight internet hit.


Mr Sarkozy’s UMP party last night condemned the leak, saying: “French citizens have the right to expect more seriousness and rigour from a public service, which they contribute to through the licence fee.”

France 3 said it had launched an internal investigation to identify those responsible for the leaked film.
